Bath Towels Q&A
Generally, you should replace your towels every two years. High-quality towels may last up to five years but should be replaced when they show signs of wear such as fraying or reduced absorbency.
Depending on how often you wash your laundry, keeping three towels—per person—allows for a towel in the linen closet, one hanging to dry for the next use, and one in the laundry.
For the softest, fluffiest towels, choose 100% cotton options or cotton blends. Materials favored for softness include organic cotton, Supima®, Egyptian, or Turkish cotton, and Cotton & TENCEL™ Lyocell blends.
Bath sheets are larger than bath towels: Our bath towels measure 30 inches x 54 inches and our bath sheets are 39 inches x 68 inches.
GSM, or grams per square meter, indicates the density of the towel—between 400 to 900 for bath towels. The higher the GSM, the more absorbent the towel.
